I hope this holiday finds you happy
and healthy. As the years pass it seems as
if time is speeding up making it hard to believe
the holiday season is so quickly upon us once
again!
For us, 2007 has been a rather
busy travel year. In February Circle Connections
sponsored a planning retreat in Atlanta for
women attending the US Social Forum later
in the year. It was a wonderful experience
being with these very powerful women. I planned
the trip so I could lay-over in Wisconsin
before and after the retreat and spend some
time with my step-mom helping her go through
my dad's things and get the house ready to
sell. It was a very healing experience. She
miraculously sold her home in a market where
houses are not selling and is now comfortably
relocated to an apartment in a beautiful new
retirement complex overlooking Lake Michigan.
She's very happy there! While in Wisconsin,
I got a wonderful bonus of being able to see
my son Greg and his two children who drove
up from Indiana.
In March we flew to Southern
California to visit my daughter Kris
and family and then on to Virginia to
visit Victor's daughter, Echo and family.
In May, we took a wonderful road trip
to Portland where Victor attended a technology
conference while I visited a friend who lives
in the area. On the way up and back we stopped
in Mt. Shasta, one of our favorite sacred
sites. We also stopped in Ashland on the way
up to visit several friends we have in the
area and on the way back we stopped in Florence
to visit other friends. It was a delightful
trip – much more relaxing than flying!
In July we flew to Dallas to attend the 3rd
International Women's Peace Conference and
then rented a car for the drive to Austin
to visit my daughter Liz and family. We had
a great time seeing the boys and Liz's beautiful
new home. Our last trip of the year was a
short one to Mountain View, CA where Victor
attended a technology conference while I gave
myself a mini-retreat away from the phones
and computer. I visited several friends in
the area and spent a lot of time catching
up on my reading. It was wonderful!
Our businesses are doing
well. I've contracted with the Foundation
for Inner Peace to develop new A Course
in Miracles Archival site – something
that is extremely dear to my heart. I've also
contracted with a woman in Virginia to help
her publish her book, to design her book cover
and to build three websites for her.
In addition, I've developed
a new skill and a new love – audio
editing. I am the editor for The Emerging
Paradigm Online Radio show (DreamTimeOnline.com)
and will be producing two new ongoing
shows next year sponsored by: CircleWisdomOnline.com
(the PBS of Circle!) & CentrustParadigm.com.
Victor has been working on an innovative philanthropy
website for a client and continues to work
on a unique social networking software he
is developing.
We have a new addition to
our home – a
full-sized Yamaha piano keyboard. Both Victor
and I took piano lessons when we were young
and have had a desire to begin playing again.
So we decided to give ourselves the keyboard
Christmas. It's truly a wonderful instrument
that comes with a 3 hour instructional DVD!
So far, I've only played it in piano mode,
but am looking forward to exploring its many
options. It feels as challenging as learning
a new computer program! |
